Nigerian Max Air Boeing 737 Suffers Nose Gear Damage During Landing in Kano

On Tuesday night at around 10:57 PM, a Max Air Boeing 737-4D7, registered as 5N-MBD, experienced nose landing gear damage upon landing at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (KAN).

Flight VM1605 from Lagos (LOS) came to a halt on the runway due to the nose landing gear tire bursting and catching fire. All passengers and crew safely deplaned.


Emergency responders promptly arrived at the scene to ensure the situation was under control. The aircraft was safely towed from the runway to allow normal operations to resume at the airport.
